Patuxent Paranormal is a team of professional and mature individuals who have a passion for investigating the paranormal.  As members of professional paranormal research groups,  we use logical analysis and data gathering to assist in determining a paranormal experience.  we also incorporate some of the spiritual aspects to the investigation for a more complete examination of the given situation

What we basically do is a FREE service - to examine the evidence of what is occurring, to explain what it may be, to research any history behind it and then show what evidence we recovered and explain it to the client to put their minds at ease. This is the mission of Patuxent Paranormal - to professionally, confidentially and discreetly assist clients with answering their questions and calming their fears of the unknown they may encounter.

Meet the Members

Michael Bowser (co-founder/investigator)
I have always been interested in the paranormal since my first encounter in 1971 as a rookie cop in Georgetown at a historic (and haunted) house.  After retirement I had the opportunity to work in another historic (and haunted) site - The Hay Adams Hotel.  In 2005, I joined the Maryland Ghosts and Spirit Association and took off from there, having investigated such sites as Eastern State, Patapsco Female Institute, Gettysburg, Antietam and Savannah to name a few.
I also enjoy helping homeowners as well as business owners in explaining "WHAT'S HAPPENING?" in their dwellings.  Being a retired Police Officer with Crime Scene Evidence Tech experience, it's like working the ULTIMATE Cold Case and getting as close to an answer as possible about the past lives that still linger.

Missy Van Meter (co-founder/investigator)
Missy is a computer geek currently living in Southern Maryland.  She has been interested in the paranormal since childhood
Currently living in Southern Maryland, she has had many opportunities to investigate the older areas of Maryland.  She has investigated many areas, including Point Lookout, St. Mary's City, and areas in Leonardtown.  She has also investigated well known haunts with Patuxent Paranormal co-founder, Mike, such as Eastern State as well as private homes.  Missy is also a sensitive, and uses her skills to assist the team during investigations as well as educate and reassure those being affected by their paranormal experience.  Missy's  EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) recordings have been used in presentations throughout St. Mary's County.

Susan Villard (researcher)
Susan has been interested in the paranormal since she was a child.  Often having  experiences herself led Susan to begin studying the paranormal on her own.  She has taken classes on ghost investigations in St. Mary's County which further fueled her fascination in the paranormal area.  Now a mother of two living in Texas, Susan assists the team in researching until she can relocate back to the east coast where she will hold a position as investigator.

Perry Courter (researcher)
Perry has been interested in the paranormal since his high school days, and from that time he has experienced several paranormal sightings. A computer geek like Missy, he uses the internet to research potential investigations to help the group. Currently attending Central Piedmont Community College, he is planning on taking some classes on the paranormal in the spring. Based in North Carolina, when time and money permits he is hoping to assist the group with investigations as well.
